HSP is one of the largest repositories of family history on the east coast. The collection contains genealogical material for every state east of the Mississippi River. Researchers looking to conduct research on their family should begin by consulting the Genealogy page on our website. There, one can find an overview of types of records, how to get started, information on member databases and much more.
Research into the collection can be done in person, in our reading room, and is by appointment. You can learn more and schedule an appointment here.
